Klockar spent her childhood summers at a hill farm in the Dalarna region with her grandmother who used sing folk tunes and had heard Limu limu lima many times growing up and sung Hugo alfvén's famous arrangement many times in different choirs. It is unclear where the melody comes from, as there are several villages called Lima in Dalarna. Klockar's popular arrangement was commissioned by the Swedish Radio Choir for the 150th anniversary of Alfvén's birth.
