Hans Lundgren's Två sänger till Linnea are birthday presents to the academic women's choir Linnea in Linköping, a choir that Hans Lundgren started with in 1997 and led for a number of years.

"Tove Ditlevsen's wonderfully beautiful love poem 'Alene for dig' struck me one day, as good poetry often does, and when I found a Swedish translation (by Birger Hedén and Anita Johanson) the music came to be.
During the summer of 2015, Svenska Dagbladet, with the help of readers, collected thousands of suggestions for 'Sweden's most beautiful word'. A jury selected 40 finalists and during September the readers voted for a winner who was presented at the book fair in Gothenburg. It became the word 'forget-me-not'. The word was nominated, among others, by the author Björn Ranelid and he wrote a longer justification in Svenska Dagbladet in connection with the competition. The lyrics to this composition are taken from that post.” - Hans Lundgren
