TERMS OF PURCHASE AND DELIVERY – GEHRMANS.SE

1. General

These Terms of Purchase and Delivery apply when you, as a customer (“you”), place an order via www.gehrmans.se from Gehrmans Musikförlag AB (“we”, “us”, or “Gehrmans”).

The terms apply to both private individuals (consumers) and business customers, and to both physical and digital products, unless otherwise expressly stated.

By completing a purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions.

3. Products and assortment

Gehrmans offers a wide range of music products, including:

  • Printed sheet music and books
  • Digital sheet music (PDF)
  • Music-related articles

Some products may be subject to specific conditions, such as minimum order quantities, licence restrictions, or particular terms of use. Any such conditions will always be clearly stated on the relevant product page.

4. Order and Contract

When you place an order, an order confirmation will be sent by e‑mail to the e‑mail address you provided.

The order confirmation constitutes confirmation that we have received your order and that a binding agreement has been entered into between you and Gehrmans.

If you do not receive an order confirmation, please check your spam or junk mail folder or contact us at order@gehrmans.se.

You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided when placing the order is accurate and complete.

5. Prices, taxes and payment

All prices are stated in SEK or EUR and include value-added tax (VAT) in accordance with applicable Swedish tax legislation.

5.1 Payment options

We offer the following payment methods:

  • Credit or debit card
  • Klarna (direct payment, invoice, or instalment payment in accordance with Klarna’s terms and conditions)
  • Swish (only for Swedish citizens)
  • Corporate invoice (PDF or e-invoice depending on the company's capabilities)

Any additional fees associated with the selected payment method will always be clearly displayed at checkout before the purchase is completed.

6. Delivery of physical goods

6.1 Delivery Time

We aim to dispatch your order within four (4) working days from the time the order is received and payment has been approved. Delivery times may vary depending on the destination and the selected carrier. We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as delays attributable to the carrier.

6.2 Delivery Notification and Tracking

Information regarding delivery and, where applicable, tracking details will primarily be sent by e‑mail. SMS notifications may also occur. All communication regarding your order will be sent by Gehrmans, unless otherwise expressly stated in the order confirmation.

6.3 Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout and are based on weight, number of items, and delivery address. For international deliveries, shipping costs may vary and will always be displayed before payment is completed.

6.4 Unclaimed Packages

Packages that are not collected and are returned to us may be charged for:

  • Outbound shipping
  • Return shipping
  • Administrative handling costs

Failing to collect a package is not considered exercising the right of withdrawal according to the Distance Contracts Act.

7. Delivery of digital products and copyright

7.1 Digital delivery

Digital sheet music is delivered as PDF files by e‑mail after payment has been completed. No physical delivery takes place. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the provided e‑mail address is correct and that the delivery e‑mail can be received (including checking spam or junk mail folders).

7.2 Right of withdrawal for digital products

In accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital products once delivery has begun, provided that:

  • The delivery of the digital content has commenced, and
  • You have expressly consented to the commencement of delivery and acknowledged that the right of withdrawal thereby ceases

Such consent is given at the time of purchase.

7.3 Copyright and permitted use

All sheet music sold by Gehrmans is protected by copyright. Digital sheet music is supplied as personal, non‑transferable copies and may only be used by the purchaser in accordance with the applicable licence terms.

They may not be:

  • Shared with third parties
  • Distributed via e‑mail, cloud services, choir folders, or social media
  • Printed in quantities exceeding what is permitted by the licence
  • Otherwise made available to others

All digital sheet music from Gehrmans is delivered as password‑protected PDF files and is watermarked with information such as:

  • The purchaser’s name
  • Title of the work
  • Composer(s) or creator(s)
  • The number of copies that may be printed or used

Watermarking forms part of our rights management and is intended to protect the rights of composers and other creators.

It is not permitted to:

  • Share watermarked files with others
  • Print more copies than permitted by the watermark
  • Distribute files via e‑mail, messaging services, cloud storage, or social media
  • Upload the file online in any form

Each digital licence is personal, applies only to the purchaser, and may not be transferred or assigned to any third party.

8. Right of withdrawal for physical products

If you are a private individual (consumer), you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within fourteen (14) days from the day you received the goods, in accordance with applicable distance selling and consumer protection legislation.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, please contact us by e‑mail at order@gehrmans.se and state your order number.

Returned products must be:

  • Unused
  • In unchanged condition
  • In their original packaging

The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs. A deduction for diminished value may be made if the product has been handled more than is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and function.

9. Complaints and claims

If a product is faulty, damaged, or otherwise does not conform to what was agreed upon, you have the right to make a complaint in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.

9.1 When can you make a complaint?

You may make a complaint if, for example:

  • The product is damaged or defective upon delivery
  • A defect occurs that is not due to normal wear and tear
  • The product does not correspond to the description on the website
  • Digital files are defective, cannot be opened, or are not delivered correctly

As a consumer, you have the right to make a complaint for up to three (3) years from the date of purchase, provided that the defect is considered original under applicable law.

9.2 How to make a complaint

To submit a complaint, please contact us at order@gehrmans.se and include:

  • Your order number
  • The product concerned
  • A clear description of the issue
  • Preferably a photograph or other relevant documentation

We recommend that a complaint be made as soon as the defect is discovered.

9.3 Processing and resolution of complaints

Once we have received your complaint, we will review the matter and respond within a reasonable time.

If the complaint is approved, we will, in accordance with applicable legislation, offer one of the following remedies:

  • Repair or correction of the defect
  • Replacement product
  • Price reduction
  • Refund

If a return of the product is required in connection with an approved complaint, Gehrmans will cover the return shipping costs.

9.4 Digital products and complaints

Digital products are not subject to the right of withdrawal once delivery has commenced. However, if a digital file is defective or does not function as intended, you have the right to submit a complaint. In the event of an approved complaint regarding a digital product, we will provide a replacement file or issue a refund.

10. Subscription

Gehrmans offers various subscriptions subject to special terms and conditions.

Rental materials, orchestral materials, and music dramatic works are subject to special conditions.

12. Discounts and Promotions

Any discounts, promotions, or campaigns offered by Gehrmans are valid only for the specified period and in accordance with the terms and conditions stated in connection with the relevant offer. Unless otherwise expressly stated, regular prices apply.

13. Limitation of liability

Gehrmans’ liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific product to which the claim relates, unless otherwise required by mandatory law. Gehrmans shall not be liable for indirect damages or consequential losses, such as loss of income, loss of opportunity, or other indirect effects arising in connection with the purchase or use of our products.

14. Force majeure

Gehrmans shall not be held responsible for delays or damages resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, strikes, fire, governmental actions, or other unforeseen events. This also applies to delays or failures affecting our subcontractors or service providers.

15. Disputes and dispute resolution

Any disputes should primarily be resolved through dialogue with our customer service.

If you are a consumer residing within the EU/EEA and the dispute cannot be resolved, you may submit a complaint to the relevant consumer dispute resolution body in your country of residence.

In Sweden, this is the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN). You may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution (ODR) platform.
