. . . and my silence holds every word can be said to be some form of elegy, perhaps a "sorrow over the state of the world". Over everything that is so difficult to absorb, understand and accept: all conflicts and wars worldwide, all disasters, all intolerance, racism and xenophobia, but also tragedies in one's personal vicinity. Feelings that are not so easy to express in words - hence a wordless piece.
The words in the title are actually included in a poem by Margareta Melin where the entire sentence reads: "The light contains all colors and my silence all words."
The work was premiered by Kammerchor Hannover in 2015. – Sven Hagvil
