Fiolmagasinet is a modern textbook on violin playing. In Fiolmagasinet, the music comes first. The co-musicing, the improvisation and the mixed repertoire taken from different genres and with different origins give a broad introduction to violin playing. The content is based on a repertoire that, with built-in exercises for tone formation and technique, develops the instrumental and musical skills. Great importance is also placed on singing and listening, as well as balance and movement in the body. Fiolmagasinet is divided into progressively arranged chapters. There is a connection to the Music Magazine (GE 10412) and the Piano Magazine (GE 10411), but the Violin Magazine can also be used separately. What the student(s) play is self-sustaining and does not require the teacher's accompaniment to sound good. The material is flexible, while at the same time it can provide the control that many students and teachers desire. Evabritt Gratte was one of the first in Sweden to start working with full-class violin playing. As a violin pedagogue and methodology teacher, Evabritt has worked with the development of work forms, materials and methods to broaden the scope of violin teaching to be able to meet all the students who today want to play the violin in a joyful way.
