A work by Anna-Karin Klockar who in 2017 won the competition POLYPHONOS in Seattle and as a prize she received an order that resulted in the work Forever Hurts. It is written for double choir and will be premiered in Seattle on October 5, 2018 by the choir Esoterics under the direction of Eric Banks. Run one sings a text by Karin Boye and run two a text by Paul Laurence Dunbar, the composer imagines that they communicate with each other through time and space. The piece begins evocatively with beautiful sounds, occasional soloist contributions, but later both choirs sing together - very nicely!
