In 2017, Anna-Karin Klockar won the competition POLYPHONOS in Seattle that resulted in a commission for Forever Hurts. It was premiered in 2018 by Esoterics and Eric Banks. Composed for double choir, Klockar makes the choirs communicate with each other through the words of two poets: Karin Boye and Paul Laurence Dunbar.
