In a conversation in Sweden's Church Song Association's board regarding the need for newly written choral music for the church's choir singers, an idea was hatched to set Martin Lönnebo's Frälsarkran to music. Lars Åberg contacted Martin Lönnebo and after a couple of days he received 11 short poetic texts, a twelfth was added later. These pearls have been set to music for choir, a bunch of rather difficult choral songs that require their choir and their choir director. But the result is well worth working for.
