Johanna Thür has found three traditional Staffan songs in Knut Brodin's collection Christmas songs, which she has arranged for a four-part female or treble choir. The songs are all from western Sweden - from Norra Vånga, Västergötland and Karlstad.
Johanna Thür (b. 1969) is choir director and organist in Haga parish, Gothenburg. Her women's choir Ymna has mainly devoted itself to arrangements of folk music, often in close collaboration with established folk singers and musicians.
