During my years as organist in Orsa, I often received requests to play Visa from Venjan in connection with funerals. Sometimes – solo on the organ, but not infrequently together with fiddler. There is said to be an archaic text from the 19th century, but the song is often performed instrumentally. Orsa Spelmän has it on one of their records. I came up with the idea that this friendly show should have a new text and wondered if Åsa Hagberg wanted to write one. The result was a wonderful, lyrical nature text about purest greenery, about waves and linden trees. The photographer Back Emilia Eriksson has contributed images - "Sunset over Venjansjön."
