Version for SATB + SAT solo group. Haya! is a Song to the Joy of Day. The piece is sung in Hayan , a language invented by the composer especially for this piece. At the end, a few lines are whispered in English, taken from Native American poetry: The morning star is up. I cross the mountains into the light of the sea.
Composed for the Eric Ericson Award 2009, as a compulsory piece for the finals.
