Text: Ps. 65:15

Save me from the dune is a short, charged piece, which is about the cry: the cry outwards - strong, to call attention and be heard far, and the cry inwards - collected, almost soundless, like a prayer.

The singer kular, i.e. uses a singing technique that used to be used outdoors in shacks, to attract animals and communicate over long distances. Together with the alto saxophone, this creates a very special and distinctive sound.

Rädda mig ur dyn was composed for the opening of the World Music Days in Stockholm in 1994, and was performed at the Wasamusée with the musicians standing on the deck of the regal ship Wasa. The play was meant to allude to the shipwreck in 1628, but took on a sudden and tragic topicality due to the Estonia disaster, which occurred a few days earlier.
