Jacob Mühlrad is referred to in the media as a "shooting star" among young composers. He was the youngest composer ever to have a work performed at the Royal Opera House, and he has since received several exciting commissions of different nature. Anim Semiraus was commissioned and premiered by Sofia Vokalensemble and Bengt Ollén.
- I have set to music the hymn Anim zemirot that I sang as a child in the synagogue, says Jacob, referring to the old Jewish hymn which is traditionally performed by the congregation's youngest member.
