Choir leader Gunnar Eriksson talks about his life and his music - especially choral music.
Jan Lennart Höglund, among other things a former producer at Sveriges Radio P2, who has known Gunnar since the 50s, talks to him about the activities of the early years in the Swedish Missionary Union, but also follows him until today. Martin Nyström, chief critic for classical music and opera at Dagens Nyheter, talks to Gunnar about his artistic ambitions based on a concert in 2015 with the Rilke Ensemble. These two new interviews frame previously published interviews from different times and contexts. Gunnar's own texts, three portraits of important composers in his world, Arne Mellnäs, Sven-Eric Johanson and Per Nørgård, as well as the prefaces from the three »ad lib collections« provide additional pieces to the picture of his musical and artistic world. The book ends with a discography of the recordings on EP, LP, CD and DVD that Gunnar has been involved in since the early 1960s.
Röster och ekon is richly illustrated with photos and Gunnar Eriksson's own drawings.
