Ruben Nilson (1893-1971) is one of our country's foremost wise poets. His visual texts are both subtle, humorous and not infrequently socially critical. Ruben was also a visual artist and cartoonist and participated in various exhibitions, including at Liljewalchs in the early 1930s.

In this book, Ruben's granddaughter Li Hoffström has compiled more than a hundred of Ruben's texts, most of them set to music by himself - others by Olle Adolphson, CajsaStina Åkerström, Torgny Björk, Jan-Olof Andersson and others. Many of the songs have never before been published.
