Daniel Börtz first in new series of composer portraits

During 2026 and 2027, Gehrmans Musikförlag will interview some of our most exciting composers. Daniel Börtz was born in 1943 and has composed over 140 works. What ignited his spark, and what keeps the flame alive?

The composer portrait is produced by Gehrmans with support from Stim. Behind the camera was Josef Sjöblom (also editing). The music in the film is used with generous permission from BIS Records, Caprice Records and Naxos Sverige. The interview was conducted at the Stockholm Concert Hall (Konserthuset) in November 2025.
