NEW FILM Composer Portrait: Tobias Broström
Since Tobias Broström put down his drumsticks, he has been composing continuously. While his music has traveled the world, Tobias has found joy in composing – and in carpentry. In May, he will be featured with world premieres of both his Symphony No. 2 and his most playful work to date, The Great Carnival. Rhythm, swing, and colorful orchestration, cutting boards, ping-pong rackets, and planers. Everything is included in the portrait of Tobias Broström.
This composer portrait is produced by Gehrmans with support from Stim, and in collaboration with Josef Sjöblom (filming/editing). The music in the film is used with generous permission from Malmö Symphony Orchestra, Gävle Symphony Orchestra, dB Productions, and Swedish Society/Naxos Sweden. The interview was conducted in Skåne in March 2025.
