A choral work for singers of all ages. The adult choir, the youth choir and the children's choir come together to highlight life stories with the power of music, together with a smaller instrumental ensemble and reciter. Journalist and author Kerstin Weman Thornell is the one who asked the question: "When life is on the line: what is important to you?" and she has then based the work's texts on the answers. Composer Daniel Hjorth has sought the simplicity of the song and written the music. Together, they have created a work that gives space and time to listen to another person.
The choral work is advantageously performed in its entirety. It is also possible to select individual songs, which can then be performed with simpler accompaniment. The songs where the adult choir sings together with the children's choir can in this case also be sung without the children's choir.
