Haiku poem taken from Tomas Tranströmer's Den stora gåtan , commissioned for Stockholm's Student Singers' 100th anniversary in 2005. For six-part male choir, with some divisions. For advanced choir, the parts are singable but require large ranges. The work contains great shifts in expression, from stripped-down simplicity to dramatic drive, and is characterized by a great sensitivity to Tomas Tranströmer's text.
