Web comment by the composer: "During 2004-2005, I composed a cello concerto for Mats Lidström. The collaboration around the solo part was intense for long periods, which gave many ideas and angles as well as good insight into the sound world and technical possibilities of string instruments. It was therefore quite natural that, starting from the two solo cadenzas in the cello concerto also composes a solo work for Mats. Exposé is written in one movement but has clearly distinguishable parts. From the slow introduction, the part works its way through increasingly dramatic and animated parts to finally explode in the fast finale."
