Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s (1756-1791) opera Il dissoluto punito, ossia Il Don Giovanni with libretto by Da Ponte was completed in Prague on 28 October 1787, one day before its first performance at the National Theatre there. Don Giovanni’s well-known aria, Deh vieni alla finestra, was originally scored for mandolin and strings. The present guitar arrangement is basically a combination of the mandolin part and the part for cello and bass.

The source material is the Neue Mozart-Ausgabe, published by Bärenreiter-Verlag, Kassel.
