The future looks more uncertain than ever, and we can no longer turn a blind eye to what we are doing to each other and our mother earth. We need to awaken the love for the beauty of the Earth - the meadows and the trees, the rivers and the seas, all the strange animals and people. Then we can be seized by passion, deepen our sense of the divine in existence and feel a sense of belonging with the planet and all its inhabitants. It is a miracle that we are alive, and that the earth is so good!
This choral work is a collaboration between two of our most well-known composers/songwriters. Here they have met in a common language, where the tones follow the rhythms of the lyrics, and where Karin Liungman's words gain their weight and meaning through Georg Riedel's congenial music.
