This anthology presents the most famous and beloved songs by composers such as Lindblad, Stenhammar, Peterson-Berger, Rangström, Nystroem and de Frumerie, but also some of today's successful composers who further developed the Swedish romance art. The texts are written by the most significant poets in Swedish literature: Runeberg, Fröding, Karlfeldt, Lagerkvist, Bergman, Boye, etc.
A total of 115 songs are presented, the oldest from the first half of the 19th century and the newest from the beginning of this century. All songs are reproduced in original key. It is a source to draw from for amateur singers, professional singers, church musicians, pianists, vocal students and vocal educators.
