Anim Semiraus in a reduced version has been processed by Sofia Ågren, music teacher at Adolf Fredrik's music classes, in order to be able to benefit more choirs. For original version, see GE 12818
Jacob Mühlrad is referred to in the media as a "shooting star" among young composers. He was one of the youngest composers ever to have a work performed at the Royal Opera House, and he has since received several exciting commissions of different nature. Anim Semiraus, the original version, was commissioned and premiered by Sofia Vokalensemble and Bengt Ollén.
- I have set to music the hymn Anim Semiraus that I sang as a child in the synagogue, says Jacob, referring to the old Jewish hymn that is traditionally performed by the congregation's youngest member.
