Kriegslied was composed in 2013 by order of the German choir Lillienfelder Cantorei, Berlin and conductor Klaus-Martin Bresgott. The 18th-century German poet Matthias Claudius describes the horrors of war in strong images and asks the difficult but inevitable question: Whose fault is the war?
