This arrangement took shape in 2015, when I was to provide a large project choir out at Marstrand with music. All parts get to speak in the melody and there are a couple of quotes from other familiar Christmas tunes. It is intended that you play a piano accompaniment to the choral movement based on the chord analysis and the instructions found in the score. I myself have mostly gone for the calypso approach starting at (A), but of course it is also fine to design it more classically. Regardless of which side you choose on the accompaniment, the introduction and (E) should contrast; the introduction with its still shooting star from above and (E) with pastoral fifths. Much pleasure! - Andreas Edlund
This arrangement took shape back in the autumn of 2015 as a commissioned piece for a big project choir. All voices take part in the melody, which also includes a few phrases from other well-known Christmas songs. A piano accompaniment suits the arrangement, with the help of the chord symbols and the instructions/tips in the score. I mainly perform this to a Calypso beat, starting at (A), but obviously a more classical style would also be nice. Regardless of the style, the introduction and (E) should form a contrast, the intro with its peaceful falling stars from above, and the (E) with pastoral fifths. Enjoy! - Andreas Edlund
