"Aniara song 13 is part of a collection of pieces with texts from different contexts and times from Harry Martinson's writing. The first two, this song from Aniara and Kväll i inlandet , were commissioned by the Rilke Ensemble in 2018. These two poems allude to each other. Aniara, a metaphor for humanity's fate in an endlessly desolate universe – 'our lost is even deeper than we first thought'. Evening in the hinterland , a quiet contemplation by a lake - 'Here there is a starkness that no one notices'. The congeniality of these two extremes forms a congruence that opens up new reflections on their content.
Each choir can choose the order in which the songs are to be performed. Additional works will be added to this collection.
Chromatic Congruence is a collective name for compositions based on a new harmonic structure. It is a major/minor accordion with new chord progressions. The unique thing is that it changes the key every measure, which means that every root note is temporary.” - Jonas S. Bohlin
