Spring is here was commissioned by Szilvia Schmiedmeiszter for the children's choir of the Archdiocese of Eger, Hungary. The Hungarian text was written by the composer's mother, Eszter Forgács, in 1973 when she was still studying. David Molnar is responsible for the Swedish translation. Árpád Solti (b. 1986) is a Hungarian-born composer, pianist and organist, living in Gothenburg and serving in the Church of Sweden in Borås. He has studied composition in Budapest, Brussels and Gothenburg. His compositions include solo and chamber music as well as music for orchestra and opera. His opera La Violetta premiered in 2013 at the Hungarian National Opera. His award-winning orchestral work Nudes has been performed by several major orchestras, including the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra (2013).
