"When I received the invitation from the Harry Martinson society to contribute with new musical settings of his texts in connection with the 40th anniversary of Martinson's death, I was immediately inspired by the idea of working with his colorful words and unusual construction of sentences. I selected two nature descriptions from the posthumous collection The Art of Joy and the Sorting of Sorrows, the short but pithy 'View' and the atmospheric 'Night Fresh Snow'. After the premiere with the Rilke ensemble and the Hvitfeldtska Musikgymnasiet's Chamber Choir in the fall of 2018, I decided to supplement both pieces with one more, in order to create an atmospheric, harmonically interesting and effective triptych from autumn to winter. It was the poem 'Efter lövfällning¬arna' that was placed centrally in the suite." – Mikael Carlsson
