A star in Advent began as a song for the children's choir in Skara Cathedral but became a song for an adult choir. There is something about Advent that brings out the child in us, and when we talk about Advent and Christmas, it is often childhood memories that come to the surface. Perhaps there is also something about the child in us that helps us meet the Godchild Jesus? The notes and words in the song retain the child's easily accessible simplicity but contain the breadth and depth of the imagination and become a song with both thoughtfulness and a lovely swing.
