This composition focuses on density of matter and intensity of musical colors. Strings are compressed to tight clusters, lines will slowly develop towards more intensive colors. "In general, density can be changed by changing either the pressure or the temperature. Increasing the pressure will always increase the density of a material." (Wikipedia) In musical matters, dynamics fill the function ofincreasing or decreasing the pressure. Shifting crescendo's and diminuendo's of musical texture can be compared to waves in an ocean. The musical texture shifts between more or less intensive color spectrum.
