Polar Vortex is King. The Academy of Music's gift to the Norrköping and Gävle Symphony Orchestras when they both celebrated their jubilees in the same year that Benjamin Staern received the Christ Johnson prize from the KMA. The work was first performed by the Gävle Symphony Orchestra under Leif Segerstam, who afterwards congratulated Sweden and Swedish music history on this work and this composer.
