Double awards for Daniel Börtz
Daniel Börtz not only went home with the Honorary Prize from the Swedish Music Publishers' Awards Gala on November 8, but also with the Art Music of the Year Prize – large ensemble/opera, for his Sinfonia 15 .
According to the art music jury's justification, Börtz shows with Sinfonia 15 – through an unfailing feeling for sound and lines – why he has been one of Sweden's leading composers for more than half a century.
The award ceremony was held at Artipelag, where you could listen to Fredrik Zetterström and pianist Love Derwinger, performing parts from Börtz' song cycle Klangernas sånger.
