Matthew Peterson's Vagabond
On Friday, 6 September, Matthew Peterson begins his period as Composer-in-Residence with the Dalasinfoniettan, that will premiere his Vagabond. It is an orchestral piece that reflects the composer's own personal and musical journey.
"The title came to me like a bolt of lightning – I was composing a driving, traveling, dangerous kind of music. It was during the course of composing that I noticed that the work was partly about my own journey in life and music," says Matthew Peterson .
Vagabond premieres on Friday 6 September in Falu Kristine Kyrka, with a repeat in Konsthallen MEKEN in Smedjebacken on Saturday 7 September.
The Dalsinfonietta plays under the direction of chief conductor Claire Levacher.
